Safety Is A Mindset delivers AVIRT (Active Violence Immediate Response Training) specifically designed for college and university environments. Our military-trained, HSI-authorized instructors bring hands-on, scenario-based campus safety training that goes far beyond traditional lockdown drills — building real muscle memory and lasting safety culture across your entire campus community.
AVIRT — Active Violence Immediate Response Training — replaced the former AVERT program as the official HSI standard in August 2025. Unlike passive awareness programs, AVIRT emphasizes immediate action in the critical minutes before law enforcement arrives. For college campuses, this means training students, faculty, staff, and campus security to work together as a coordinated first-response community.
Our instructors bring real-world experience that textbooks can't replicate. Brandon S. Beaver (Founder) and Travis E. Beaver (Navy Corpsman & Firefighter) have trained individuals and organizations across Texas and the surrounding region, combining combat medical expertise with workplace safety best practices.
