Safety Is A Mindset grew out of a simple observation: people forget training they only watched. We teach the skills our instructors use on real emergency calls, and we make sure your team practices them.
How Our Safety Training Company in Texas Started
Brandon S. Beaver spent decades in operations and safety leadership, including roughly 14 years running safety and continuous-improvement work in manufacturing. Along the way he sat through plenty of annual refreshers that employees had forgotten by lunch. When he began answering emergency calls as a firefighter and Emergency Medical Responder, the gap between classroom safety and real response became impossible to ignore.
He founded Safety Is A Mindset, operated under Beaver Incorporated, LLC, as a safety training company in Texas that would close that gap. His son Travis, a U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman turned firefighter, joined to teach trauma care and help shape the hands-on side of every course. The company is headquartered in East Tawakoni, on Lake Tawakoni about an hour east of Dallas.

The People Behind the Training
Brandon S. Beaver, Founder
Brandon brings more than 30 years of leadership experience. He served over a decade as Vice President of Logistics at Washington Mutual Bank before moving into manufacturing, where he spent nearly 14 years in safety leadership at Niagara Bottling, applying OSHA requirements and Lean Six Sigma methods across facilities. Travis E. Beaver, Instructor
Travis served on active duty as a Navy Hospital Corpsman from 2016 to 2022 and continues in the Navy Reserve. Since 2022 he has worked as a firefighter and Emergency Medical Responder, and he instructs Tactical Combat Casualty Care and Combat Lifesaver courses. Learn more about Travis.

Our Goal for Every Group We Train
Whether the emergency is a severe bleed, a chemical splash or a hostile person in the lobby, we want the employees we trained to be the steadiest people in the room, because they have rehearsed it before. That is why we keep classes interactive and why we encourage employers to schedule refreshers rather than treating training as a one-time event.
