Home Base: East Tawakoni, Texas
Safety Is A Mindset operates from East Tawakoni on Lake Tawakoni, roughly an hour east of Dallas. From there, instructors drive to clients throughout the state, from offices in Dallas and Austin to plants and terminals around Houston and San Antonio. The Texas page covers the state in detail.
We also run regular onsite work across the border in Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas and New Mexico. Our founder also serves with the fire department in Chidester, Arkansas.

Why Your State Matters for Safety Rules
Federal OSHA covers private employers in most states, including Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Twenty-one states, among them New Mexico, California, Michigan and Washington, run their own OSHA-approved State Plans for private-sector workplaces, and those plans can set rules that go beyond federal standards. A handful of others, such as New York and Illinois, run plans that cover only state and local government employees.
Each state page on this site notes which program applies, describes the main industries and hazards in that state, and links to city pages where we have them. Use it as a starting point, then confirm specific requirements with your State Plan or federal OSHA area office. You can find the official list on OSHA's State Plans page.
