OSHA and CPR Training in Tampa, FL
Tampa Bay's port, shipyards, air base, hospitals and office parks all sit near the water. We help them train for industrial hazards, medical emergencies and storm season.
Building a Tampa Bay Training Calendar
-
January to March: core compliance
Complete annual courses such as bloodborne pathogens, hazard communication and lockout/tagout while workloads are steadier.
-
April and May: heat and storms
Assign heat stress and emergency preparedness before summer and the June start of hurricane season.
-
Summer: lightning discipline
Enforce stop-work rules for afternoon thunderstorms, especially for port, roofing and utility crews.
-
Fall: refreshers and responders
Schedule onsite CPR and first aid renewals so every shift keeps certified responders.
Tampa's Industrial Waterfront and Office Corridors
Port Tampa Bay is one of Florida's major cargo ports, handling fuel, bulk cargo and phosphate-related products from the region's mining and fertilizer industry, along with containers and cruise ships. Shipyards on the channel build and repair vessels. That waterfront work includes confined spaces, hot work, heavy lifting and constant vehicle traffic.
MacDill Air Force Base, home to major military headquarters, supports a large community of contractors. Tampa's hospitals and health systems are among the region's largest employers, and the Westshore and downtown districts are full of financial services, insurance and corporate operations centers.
Tampa Bay's shallow, funnel-shaped geography makes storm surge a serious concern during hurricanes, and the region sees frequent summer lightning. Plans should cover evacuation, securing equipment and safe re-entry.
Private employers in Florida are covered by federal OSHA. OSHA and CPR training in Tampa, FL through us combines authorized OSHA 10 and 30-hour outreach courses, topic courses and, by quote, in-person American Heart Association CPR classes that issue two-year cards the same day.

Tampa Employer FAQs
Can you run CPR classes at our Tampa office?
Yes, by quote. Florida is outside our Texas-area onsite region, so we price each trip. Combining departments helps reach group rates from 10 participants.
Do contractors at MacDill need special courses?
General OSHA courses apply to private contractors; base and contract rules may add requirements. Check with your contracting officer.
Is phosphate mining covered by OSHA?
Work at mine sites generally falls under MSHA. Port handling, processing plants and many support contractors are under OSHA, so confirm which applies to each crew.
Do you have a Tampa office?
No. We are based in East Tawakoni, Texas, and serve Tampa online and through quoted onsite visits.
Which hospital roles need bloodborne pathogens training?
Any employee who can reasonably anticipate contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials, including nurses, lab staff, environmental services and some security roles. Training is required at assignment and at least annually.
Storm Surge and Re-Entry Basics for Bayfront Sites
- Know your evacuation zone and the trigger for shutting down operations.
- Move vehicles, equipment and hazardous materials above expected flood levels where possible.
- Brief crews on electrical, chainsaw and falling-object hazards before cleanup begins.
- Keep generators outdoors and away from openings to prevent carbon monoxide exposure.
- Account for every employee after the storm through a pre-set contact list.
